We are excited to offer you the opportunity to attend the Reserve Police Officers Association 2012 International Reserve Police Conference on October 2nd through October 7th, 2012.  The conference will be hosted by the Baltimore County Police Department and its Auxiliary Police Team.

The Reserve Police Officers Association is a nonprofit charitable and educational organization founded in 1966 that is dedicated to the support of law enforcement, with an emphasis on the role of Reserve and Auxiliary Police programs and officers.

The 2012 International Reserve Police Conference, located at the Baltimore Inner Harbor will include presentations, trainings, and hands-on activities by Law Enforcement Experts.

The next new recruit testing date for those interested in joining our team will be Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Public Safety Building, 700 East Joppa Road, Towson.at 10am.

Baltimore County, Md. (October 13, 2011) - The Baltimore County 45th Auxiliary Police Class will graduate on Oct 13 at 7:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Public Safety Building, 700 East Joppa Road, Towson. The swearing in will take place in the 6th floor cafeteria.

The new officers are volunteers and take on various responsibilities that assist full time paid officers in their everyday duties. The Auxiliary was established in 1942 as a volunteer organization and is authorized to cooperate with the Police Department in the maintenance of law and order in Baltimore County. The officers perform a number of duties such as security, and crowd and traffic control at public events. They also provide aid during floods, snowstorms, and searches for missing persons. This list is only a fraction of the many responsibilities they take on as Baltimore County Auxiliary Officers.

The Baltimore County Auxiliary Police Honor Guard was at it again! Here they are participating in the Mar 12 St Patrick's Day Parade in Precinct 12:

Congratulations to the members of our 44th Auxiliary Police Recruit Class who will graduate on Thursday November 18, 2010 beginning at 7PM at the Public Safety Building, 700 E Joppa Rd, Towson, MD, 21286. These new Auxiliary Officers attended 104 hours of training in areas such as first aid, constitutional and criminal law, self defense, patrol procedures and report writing. After graduating they will be assigned to an Auxiliary Field Training Officer for additional field training and instruction.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency now offers study classes on-line. Any Auxiliary member that successfully completes a class receives a two hour training credit. Auxiliary members must submit their final exam along with a time ticket to the Auxiliarty Administrator, who will in turn submit the exam to FEMA. The members of the Baltimore County Auxiliary Police Team are now eligible for membership in the Baltimore County Employees Federal Credit Union after completing six months of service. Officers are conducting unannounced visits verifying the home addresses of registered Sexual Offenders.
