The Baltimore County Auxiliary Police Team is a unique non-profit organization. It is made up of men and women who volunteer their time to serve the Citizens of Baltimore County with the Baltimore County Police Department in a law enforcement capacity. These men and women are trained professionals that provide the Baltimore County Police Department with additional resources assigned to a variety of responsibilities such as community events and parades, Baltimore County School after-school activities, crowd and traffic control at major events and disasters, resident verification of registered sexual offenders and routine patrol.
The history of the Auxiliary Police Team is a long and proud one. We were born out the of Civil-Defense era of the second world war in 1942. In 1955, the Team was incorporated into the County Police Department and over the last sixty plus years, our duties and responsibilities have grown in relation to the needs of the citizens of Baltimore County.
Although we receive tremendous support from the County Police Department, our county budget is small, therefore we rely on private donations to fund our recruiting efforts (pamphlets, web site development, recruitment ads, etc.), training programs (CPR manikins, instructor certifications, etc.) and general equipment (reflective vests, flashlights, uniform updates, etc.) to ease the burden to our members.

You can help support our non-profit volunteer organization with your tax deductible donation. Please make your check payable to the BALTIMORE COUNTY AUXILIARY POLICE TEAM, and mail it to:
